Job Description

This position provides an opportunity to develop within a boutique management consulting firm. The Senior Analyst supports partners and consultants on client engagements and works with the project team on the financial analysis and documentation of recommendations. Projects include compensation design, equity and succession, and M&A advisory. Responsibilities include:
- Collaborating with AGS team members and client stakeholders on management consulting engagements, including analysis, deliverable creation, and updates. The Analyst is involved in client meetings from project kickoff through implementation of recommendations.
- Assisting senior team members with M&A transactions for wealth management firms, including the creation of pitch materials and project management functions.
- Developing detailed financial models for small-to-medium-sized businesses.
- Developing and maintaining written client deliverables in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
- Assisting in managing client relationships including fielding requests and managing follow-up communications.
- Researching the market for competitive intelligence. Management of data, templates, and internal documentation.
- Designing, writing, and maintaining processes and procedures.
Desired Skills and Experience
Our ideal candidate exhibits the following skills and attributes:
- Ability to perform complex quantitative and qualitative analysis with limited supervision.
- Has very good Excel skills, ability to independently generate presentations and strategic reports for clients with attention to detail.
- Exhibits above-average writing skills. Ability to write and edit client documents.
- Self-starter. Willingness to be hands-on and perform whatever tasks are necessary for the company and its clients.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks while working on multiple projects at once.
- Demonstrates a working knowledge of financial statements and financial analysis including forecasting and scenario analyses.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
- Accuracy of analysis, and the ability to troubleshoot model issues.
- Ability to interact with professionally clients in person, over the phone, and via email.
- Working knowledge of the financial services industry is a plus.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field of study such as accounting, statistics, economics, etc.
- One to two years consulting, project management, or financial services experience in an analyst role. Direct experience working in a large to medium size consulting firm is preferred.
- Candidates should have a quantitative background and a proven ability to perform analysis. Final candidates will be asked to demonstrate advanced Excel modeling skills prior to an offer being made.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Experience in the wealth management or broader financial services world is a plus.
- Location in Phoenix, AZ is strongly preferred. This position will ideally be in-person at our central Phoenix office.
- Right to work in the US without visa sponsorship.
Compensation and benefits:
- $90,000 – $120,000 base salary, plus incentives of at least 20% of base salary based on individual and company performance.
